Four young Americans travel across the country to write a book about the attractions offered along the highway. By chance, they come across Captain Spaulding’s house of horrors, where they learn about a local legend known as Dr. Satan.

dr. Satan worked in the local insane asylum where he performed brain surgery on the mentally ill because he believed that super-humans could be created from the mentally ill. After learning that the place where Dr. Satan was killed is nearby, they decide to look for the tree on which the famous Dr. Satan was hanged.

On the way to the Dead Forest, they pick up the hitchhiker Baby, who later turns out to be a member of a sadistic family responsible for the disappearance of a cheerleader from a nearby town. The real horror is just beginning…

The story begins 6 months after the end of House of 1000 Corpses. In Ruggsville, Texas, police led by local Sheriff Wydell raid the home of the sadistic Firefly family, responsible for more than 1,000 murders over the past few years, and arrest the mother, but the three family members Otis B. Driftwood, Baby Firefly and Captain Spaulding escape the siege.

After a murderous performance in a run-down motel, the evil trio hides in a brothel run by Spaulding’s adopted “brother” Charlie. Sheriff Wydell slowly begins to lose his mind in a strong desire to avenge the murder of his brother and enlists the help of two equally brutal and despicable killers. Together with them, he goes in search of the rest of the Firefly family.

Ten-year-old boy Michael Myers (D. Faerch) is a psychotic and extremely violent kid who has a hard time living with his mother Deborah (S. Moon Zombie), stepfather Ronnie White (W. Forsythe) and older sister Judith (H. Hall). Only his mother shows feelings of love and attention towards Michael, while his stepfather and sister Judith often humiliate and mistreat him.

There is also the boy’s younger sister, Laurie, a one-year-old girl whom Michael genuinely loves. But he is also bullied at school, which Michael finds increasingly difficult to bear. After an older boy attacks him one day in front of school, Michael waits for him in a nearby forest and beats him to death. That same evening, while the mother is out of the house and his peers masked as monsters on Halloween visit the neighbors, Michael goes on a bloody spree. He kills his stepfather, older sister and her boyfriend.

Eleven months later, Michael is a patient of Dr. Samuel Loomis (M. McDowell), a prominent psychiatrist who is extremely intrigued by the boy’s case. Among the staff of the psychiatric hospital, the only one who treats Michael correctly is the cleaner Cruz (D. Trejo), a man who tries to understand the psychotic boy.

However, after he kills a nurse during one of his mother’s visits, Michael ends up in strict isolation, and his mother soon commits suicide. Fifteen years later, after killing the clinic staff and cleaner Cruz, Michael (T. Mane) escapes during the night of October 31 and goes on a bloody search for Laurie (S. Tayler-Compton)…

Heidi, a blond rock chick, DJs at a local radio station, and together with the two Hermans (Whitey and Munster) forms part of the “Big H Radio Team.” A mysterious wooden box containing a vinyl record arrives for Heidi, a gift of the Lords. She assumes it’s a rock band on a mission to spread their word. As Heidi and Whitey play the Lords’ record, it starts to play backward, and Heidi experiences a flashback to a past trauma.

Later, Whitey plays the Lords’ record, dubbing them the Lords of Salem, and to his surprise, the record plays normally and is a massive hit with his listeners. The arrival of another wooden box from the Lords presents the Big H team with free tickets, posters and records to host a gig in Salem. Soon, Heidi and her cohorts are far from the rock spectacle they’re expecting. The original Lords of Salem are returning and they’re out for blood.
