Open Season (2006)
Yes, Boog has a perfect life – until Elliot shows up. Elliot is a small, fast-talking deer who finds himself passed out in the city and realizes he’s missing an antler and tied to the roof of Shaw’s truck, a fanatical hunter. When Elliot wakes up, he asks Boog to free him. Boog cannot ignore Elliott’s frantic pleas and frees the hapless deer.
However, it turns out that no good deed goes unpunished – Elliot follows Boog to his home and lures him into a wild night on the town – which ends up with both of them in the woods. Boog wakes up in the wilderness and panics when he realizes that he is far from the comfort of his home. When Eliot promises Boog that he’ll help him find his way back to Timberline—if Boog can provide him with a place in his cozy home—the domesticated bear, who has no survival skills in the wild, has no choice but to accept the partnership.
As hunting season approaches, Boog and Elliot must work together to survive. The odd couple will embark on a hilarious journey with the help of other animals and eventually join forces with the forest dwellers to confront the hunters and remove the danger to four-legged friends from the forest.
Open Season 2 (2008)
This time, Boog and Elliot set out to rescue their dachshund dog friend, who, due to his desire for freedom, ran away from his owners and joined the animals in the forest. The dachshund was kidnapped by a bunch of pets who think he doesn’t belong in the forest and should be returned to his owners.
A fight breaks out between the pampered pets led by the poodle Fifi and the wild animals of the forest. Hunting season 2 also follows the great love story of the deer Eliot, who fell in love with the most beautiful doe in the forest. Will she fall in love with the deer who hangs around with Boog the bear all day?
Open Season 3 (2010)
When Boog’s friends can’t go on their annual trip, he decides to go alone. He encounters a traveling circus and switches places with a grizzly bear from the circus and takes over his role in the performance.
But when the circus decides to return to Russia, Elliot, McSquizzy, Mr. Weenie and the rest of the team must hurry to save Boog before he is taken away.
Open Season: Scared Silly (2015)
The film begins with Eliot’s story about the legend of the werewolf Scaredy Cat who lives in Timberline National Park. The domesticated Bug is horrified by the story and decides to wipe out their annual camping trip until he is sure the werewolf is gone.
