It is 1885. The Mousekewitz family, a Jewish mouse family, lives in Russia in the Moskowitz family’s house. But the celebration is interrupted when the Cossacks and their cats invade the village and set it on fire.
After the attack, the Mousekewitz family decides to go to America and boards a ship. During a storm, Fievel falls into the sea and the family thinks he has drowned. But the little mouse in a bottle manages to reach America.
An American Tail: Fievel Goes West (1991)
After the Mousekewitzes settle in America, they realize that they have not yet gotten rid of the threat of cats. This prompts them to look for a new home in the west, where, as they have been promised, cats and mice live in harmony.
Unfortunately, this lie was sold to them by the wicked Cat R. Waul, who has an evil plan. Unaware of this, the Mousekewitzes head west, while their true friend the cat Tiger goes in the same direction for his girlfriend.
