Avatar (2009)
The alien world is shown through the eyes of Jake Sully, a wheelchair-bound ex-Marine. Regardless of his disability, Jake is a warrior and a fighter. He was recruited and sent to Pandora, a distant planet where corporations are mining a rare mineral to solve Earth’s energy crisis. Since Pandora’s atmosphere is poisonous, the Avatar Program was created to merge human consciousness into an avatar, a remote-controlled biological body that can survive Pandora’s deadly air.
Avatars are genetically engineered hybrids of human DNA and Na’vi DNA, native to Pandora. Reborn in his avatar, Jake can walk. His mission is to infiltrate the Na’vi who have become the main obstacle to extracting the precious ore. But things take a different turn when the beautiful Na’vik Neytiri saves Jake’s life.
Jake is accepted by her clan and he, going through many trials and adventures, slowly gets to know their way of life. As Jake and Neytiri’s relationship deepens, he comes to appreciate the Na’vi and eventually becomes a part of them. But soon he will be put to the greatest test and lead them into an epic battle in which the fate of the entire world will be decided.
Star Trek (2009)
The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of sworn rivals. One, James Kirk (Chris Pine), is a delinquent thrill-seeking farm boy from Iowa.
The story follows the early days of James T. Kirk and the rest of the crew of the USS Enterprise during their time at Starfleet Academy, with adventures stretching from Earth to Vulcan. Spock is still logical, and Scotty is still bitterly complaining that the ship’s engines are overloaded.
The time travel plot is set in motion when the Federation spaceship USS Kelvin is attacked by an evil Romulan, desperately searching for one of the film’s heroes. Kirk and Spock are brought into the spotlight as the film follows the beginnings of their friendship and how they became officers aboard the Enterprise.
John Carter (2012)
The main character of the story is a war-weary ex-military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch) who is inexplicably transported to Mars where against his will he becomes involved in a conflict of epic proportions between the local inhabitants of the planet which includes Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captive princess Dejah Thoris ( Lynn Collins).

Contact (1997)
Ever since she was a child, Eleanor (Jodie Foster) was interested in communicating with beings from outer space. The main person who encouraged her to do this was her father. After his death, Eleanor continues her studies and graduates under the mentorship of Dr. David Drumlin (Tom Skerritt), and is given the opportunity to work as an expert, studying space communication in Puerto Rico.
There she meets Kent (William Fichtner), a blind researcher, who helps her listen to various signals, and Palmer (Matthew McConaughey), a student of Christian theology, who is writing a book about the effects of science on the Third World. Eleanor and Palmer begin a romantic relationship, which ends when Dr. Drumlin decides to shut down the project.
Eleanor is then forced to find the means to continue studying the sounds she hears. After finding a new financier and starting research in New Mexico again, Dr. Drumlin decides to close the program again, but then Eleanor hears a signal from a star and believes that she is on the trail of a great discovery. Despite the disdain of her colleagues, Dr. Eleanor persistently listens to the universe.
One morning she hears a mysterious signal. While the world’s scientists fight to decipher the message, Eleanor must fight to become the only emissary of the Earth on the journey, which has no basis in either practice or theory, and her discovery intrigues the National Security Agency, led by Michael Kitz (James Woods). Prometheus (2012)
A team of researchers discovers a clue about the origin of the human species that takes them on a tense journey into the dark parts of the Universe where they will engage in a terrifying battle on which the survival of humanity depends. The expedition is led by two brilliant young scientists, Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and Holloway (Logan Marshall-Green) with opposite motives.
Shaw is a believer: she wants to meet these “gods” to get closer to her traditional religious views, while Holloway wants to expose that kind of spirituality. In their work as archaeologists, they have discovered clues in cave pictographs from ancient civilizations around the world, all pointing to the same thing. place in deep space, and they convinced Weyland Industries Corporation to fund the mission. None of the scientists were prepared for the unimaginable terrors they would encounter.
Supernova (2000)
The action of the film begins at the beginning of the 22nd century when the space rescue ship with the Nova 17 team receives a call for help from a remote mining colony. Due to the distance, the rescue spaceship is forced to use a special technology of jumping through dimensional holes.
The Nova 17 team tries not only to save the miners, but also the ship, which is badly damaged and is beginning to be attracted by the gravitational force of the black hole. The crew of the rescue ship, on the other hand, is unpleasantly surprised when they discover that the only surviving passenger on the ship has a mysterious substance in him that causes his body to mutate.
Ender’s Game (2013)
The film follows an exceptionally gifted boy, Ender. He will be selected for elite military training to save the world destroyed in the war against aliens. Namely, only the way children think and react can save humanity.
Serenity (2005)
In the 26th century, the Alliance military organization colonized the galaxy. The rebels, better known as Independents, resisted totalitarian military rule. After a brutal civil war, the rebels were defeated, and those who survived fled across the galaxy, lest they be punished like their comrades. Another group of renegades roams the universe, the fear and trembling of the galaxy – the Reavers.
Known for their cruelty, Reavers massacre their enemies and eat them as they die in terrible agony. Captain Malcolm “Mal” Reynolds (Nathan Fillion), who fought on the side of the Independents in the civil war, is the leader of the cargo spaceship “Serenity”. Together with his crew, which consists of his first officer who fought with him on the side of the rebels, Zoe (Gina Torres), her husband Wash (Alan Tudyk), mechanic Kaylee (Jewel Staite), mercenary Jayne (Adam Baldwin), Inara (Morena Baccarin), who is an educated “companion”, who provides sexual services to clients around the world, and a priest Book (Ron Glass), Mal and “Serenity” roam the galaxy in search of profitable business, often of an illegal nature, such as smuggling and reselling various valuable cargo to the highest bidder.
Things get even more complicated when Simon (Sean Maher) and his sister River Tam (Summer Glau), who has supernatural abilities. Before her brother freed her, River was a prisoner of the Alliance, who is determined to bring her back under their wing.
Flash Gordon (1980)
Ming (Max von Sydow), the supreme ruler of the universe, spends his time destroying planets and his next target is Earth. Soon the entire planet finds itself under the influence of floods, tornadoes and earthquakes that slowly but surely destroy everything in front of them. Only the eccentric scientist Dr. Hans Zarkov (Topol) sees who is behind climate change, but no one believes him.
By chance, Flash Gordon (Sam J. Jones) and his beautiful girlfriend Dale Arden (Melody Anderson) break into his laboratory. Together with them Dr. Zarkove headed for Ming’s planet. Minga catches Dale’s eye and kidnaps her with the intention of marrying her, while Flash tries to unite the warring tribes in the fight against the evil emperor to save the Earth.

Mission to Mars (2000)
The international astronaut team on Mars finds a huge pile of rocks that disrupts the operation of all their devices. Soon an inexplicable accident occurs in which everyone disappears. The rescue team is made up of good friends, Jim (G. Sinise), Woody (T. Robbins) and his wife Terri (C. Nielsen) and young Phil (J. O’Connell).
A shower of micrometeorites hits the rescue ship and the astronauts are forced to save themselves in the most radical way possible – using an orbiting satellite. Although the situation keeps getting worse, the astronauts do not lose hope. Somehow they manage to land and soon there are clues that could change the future of the human race – hints of extraterrestrial life.
Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
Prominent archaeologist and occult expert Dr. Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is hired by the US government to find the Ark of the Covenant, believed to still contain the Ten Commandments of God. Unfortunately, enemy agents also want to find the coffin in order to rule the world, and Indy and his old love Marion (Karen Allen) are forced to embark on an exciting adventure, from the dark jungles of South America to the bustling markets of Cairo to be the first to get the coffin and save the world.
Among the actors who applied for the role of Indiana Jones were Tim Matheson, Peter Coyote and Tom Selleck. Selleck was cast, but was unavailable due to commitments on the television series Magnum, P.I.. Spielberg persuaded Lucas to hire Ford because producers Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy were impressed with his performance as Han Solo in Star Wars.
The Black Hole (1979)
A science fiction film about a crew that finds itself on the edge of a Black Hole in space, and tries to resist the scientists’ idea that everyone should voluntarily enter it. The small spaceship Palomino roams space searching for the lost crew of the errant ship Cygnus. The Palomino crew consists of Captain Dan Holland (Robert Forster), scientist Alex Durant (Anthony Perkins), scary old pilot Harry Booth (Ernest Borgnine), young co-pilot Charles Pizer (Joseph Bottoms), and his wife Kate McCrae (Yvette Mimieux), who is lost left her father on the ship.
Soon the team sees Cygnus, but it is in a terrible location at the very edge of the Black Hole, which threatens to suck it up. Nevertheless, they decide to land, partly because they need minor repairs on their own ship. On Cygnus, however, they find an eerie atmosphere: it is inhabited by an army of robots, humanoid workers and computers, managed by a single living man, Dr. Hans Reinhardt (Maximilian Schell), a scientist who knew Kate’s father. Visionary, genius and madman at the same time, dr. Reinhardt soon presents his plan to the newly arrived crew, he wants to explore the Black Hole on whose edge he is, hoping to find the ultimate knowledge there and learn the truth of the unknown.
Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone (1983)

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome (2012)
Set in the tenth year of the First Cylon War, the story follows William Adama, a young pilot who just graduated from the Academy, assigned to one of the Battleships in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. The series provides a very basic frame of reference to the events that ensued in the time between the prequel series Caprica, and the basis series Battlestar Galactica.
Space Battleship Yamato (2010)
The plot of the film is set in the year 2199 and follows the attempts of the last Earth spaceship, Yamata, to defend the Earth from the attack of a superior alien enemy. An alien race known as the Gamilans destroyed the surface of planet Earth with radioactive meteor bombs. As a result, the surface of the Earth became so radioactive that the survivors had to hide in underground cities, but even there they are not safe and are threatened with extermination.
One day, a searcher for useful waste finds a capsule that arrived from deep space and contains plans for a space cannon that can destroy enemy ships, as well as a star drive that can be used to reach the plant from which this useful data arrived, the planet Iskandar.

In the middle of the 27th century, the Earth Confederacy finds itself in a bloody war with the infamous Kilrathi Empire, a war that takes place far out in the vastness of space. After the destruction of an Earth base, the Kilrathi got hold of a craft that contained, unknown to them, the coordinates for the journey to Earth itself, as well as the ability to simply bypass the posted guards. Blair (Freddie Prinze Jr.) is tasked with preventing malicious invaders.
Lost in Space (1998)

Equilibrium (2002)

In the near future, humanity is in a war for survival against a vicious race of giant insects that colonize the galaxy by spreading their spores. Humanity, therefore, founded the Space Marines who fight against insects with machine guns, which are not particularly effective because it takes many bullets to destroy one insect, and their number is large because they multiply very quickly.
Johnny Rico (C. Van Dien) is in love with his schoolmate Carmen Ibanez (D. Richards), who wants to become a spaceship pilot after finishing high school. Jean Rasczak (M. Ironside), their biology professor, tries to arouse patriotic feelings in his students. Dizzy Flores (D. Meyer) is in love with Johnny, but he doesn’t notice her. Carl Jenkins (N. P. Harris), Johnny’s best friend, is a gifted scientist. After high school, despite his parents’ opposition, Johnny enlists in the space marines with Carmen and Carla. The three of them make a pact of eternal friendship. Carmen is a very skilled pilot and is progressing quickly.
Carl is inducted into the intelligence service, while Johnny undergoes very rigorous training. Dizzy also joined his unit at her own request. Johnny excelled in training and was promoted, but when a soldier was killed during a real ammunition exercise through his fault, Johnny was severely punished. Carmen ends the relationship with him, because she wants to fully devote herself to her career.
Zander Barcalow (P. Muldoon), whom she met at the prom and who has an undisguised crush on her, is with her on training in the spaceship. Disappointed by the events, Johnny decides to leave the Marines and return to his parents’ home. At the moment of his departure, insects attacked the Earth and war was declared, and since his parents and their entire town were killed in the attack, Johnny decides to stay and fight.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)

Twenty years later, they are still wearing astronaut costumes and attending sci-fi conventions. They have no idea how soon their dream of going into space will come true.
Namely, Thermians, a group of real extraterrestrials, seeing the old series with our heroes, thought they were real aliens. They take our main heroes into space, where an unpredictable battle between aliens and aliens begins! The only problem lies in the fact that our protagonists are not actually aliens and initially have a hard time navigating space. But soon they remember everything they learned filming the beloved series and become real space fighters!
Pitch Black (2000)
When a spaceship crashes due to a meteor shower, it lands on a deserted desert planet, and among the few survivors is the hardened cold-blooded killer Riddick (V. Diesel). After finding an abandoned facility and water, it appears to the rest of the crew that the only danger on the planet with three suns and no nights is Riddick.
They will soon learn the hard way that there are murderous monsters in the underground that do not come out to the light, and almost at the same time they will learn that an eclipse of all three suns is coming soon, which will cover the planet in darkness for several days, and they will become prey. And the only one who can help them is Riddick.
