K-PAX (2001)
A homeless man begging at the Grand Central RR station in New York sees Prot (Kevin Spacey) appear out of nowhere. When the police pull him over after trying to help a woman who has been robbed, he is detained because he claims he didn’t arrive by train because he came from another planet. They take him to a mental hospital where he is under the supervision of Dr. Pavel (Jeff Bridges) who, of course, skeptically accepts his claims that he comes from K-Pax, a planet 1000 light years away from Earth.
Two things change the doctor’s opinion of Proto he begins to look at him differently than other patients.
