28 Days Later (2002)
After animal rights activists from a London primate research laboratory release several monkeys on which an unknown virus is being tested, a deadly infection quickly spreads across Great Britain, turning people into physically deformed and bloodthirsty zombies. Four weeks later, the entire country is ravaged, and among the few survivors and uninfected people is young Jim (C. Murphy), a city delivery boy who wakes up from a coma caused by a car accident.
Realizing that he is in a completely deserted hospital, and gradually discovering the extent of the apocalypse, Jim wanders through an equally terrifyingly deserted city and encounters the daring Selena (N. Harris) and her friend Mark (N. Huntley), with whom he decides to escape from the city. But that’s easier said than done, because infected people are lurking on every corner, and the city has no electricity or any organized life forms. When Mark is injured in a conflict with zombies, Selena kills him without thinking and quite cold-bloodedly. Not long after, Jim and she notice light signals on the balcony of a skyscraper, and realize that they are still healthy people.
Having managed to break into their apartment, Jim and Selena discover that it is middle-aged Frank (B. Gleeson) and his teenage daughter Hannah (M. Burns), who have organized some kind of living conditions in a cramped space. When they soon catch a recorded radio message from the roof of the building in which the army calls the survivors to a safe area near Manchester, Jim, Selena, Frank and his daughter decide to get into a car and try to get out of the city.
Event Horizon (1997)
The lost spaceship “Event Horizon” has been found seven years after its mysterious disappearance. Now a first-rate rescue crew sets out in search of the truth… Only to discover a world of evil beyond their wildest nightmares.
Dr. William Weir is a scientist who designed a spaceship called Event Horizon that will explore the outer reaches of space beyond the planet Neptune. The ship uses a special transport mechanism that essentially creates a black hole that the ship can pass through allowing it to travel vast distances in seconds. Event Horizon mysteriously disappears mid-mission without any trace of the ship and crew, but reappears in Neptune’s orbit after a seven-year absence and sends a distress signal.
Spaceship “Lewis and Clark” and Dr. Weir were sent to investigate. The crew of Lewis and Clark are convinced that Weir is keeping something from them, and when they discover the Event Horizon, they discover that things are not what they seem, and the ship has been taken over by an evil presence.
Saw II (2005)
At the scene of a terrible crime, police detective Eric Matthews finds a clue to the place where the serial killer John aka Jigsaw is hidden. Eric, his assistant Kerry and the special forces capture Jigsaw, who reveals that he is suffering from cancer in the last stage and that the direct confrontation with death has revealed to him the value of life, and that he has therefore decided to punish those who do not respect life enough.
That’s why he kept a group of people who didn’t appreciate life enough, unaware of what they had, and organized a game for them in which they would survive and be saved if they followed the rules they had to discover for themselves, or they would die a horrible death. Now Jigsaw has done the same thing again: he has again imprisoned a group of younger men and women, among them the teenage Daniel, the son of Detective Matthews…

The Evil Dead (1981)
The plot involves five young people on vacation: Ash (Bruce Campbell), his girlfriend Linda (Betsy Barker), their colleagues Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss), Scott (Hal Delrich) and Shelly (Sarah York). Unplanned, they stop by an abandoned mountain hut surrounded by an impassable forest. Before settling in for the night, they discover a book similar to the ancient ones, full of obscure hieroglyphs and ghostly illustrations, as well as a dagger made of human bones and an audio recording.
In the video, the professor of archeology describes the content of the Sumerian “Book of the Dead” full of spells with which otherworldly demons came to life and which then haunted the living. It goes on to state that possessed persons can only be stopped by dismembering them completely. When they play the tape later, the recorded translation of the ritual spells terrifies the clairvoyant Shelly and simultaneously unleashes evil from the forest.
