Backcountry (2014)
Alex (Jeff Roop) is experienced in the outdoors, but Jenn (Missy Peregrym), a lawyer, is not. After much persuasion and against her better judgment, she agrees to let him take her to the far reaches of Provincial Park, to one of his favorite spots – the remote Blackfoot Trail. During the first night, deep in the woods, they have an unsettling encounter with Brad (Eric Balfour), a strange alpha male, who has taken a liking to Jenn, whom she doesn’t know is following them. Alex’s desire to get to the Blackfoot Trail as soon as possible only intensified.
They go further and further into the forest as Alex stubbornly insists that he remembers well the path they need to take. After three days, their path disappears and they are hopelessly lost. With no food or water, they try to find their way back, and the cruel conditions they find themselves in bring out the best and worst in them, driving their already compromised relationship to the breaking point…
Cabin Fever (2002)

The Evil Dead (1981)
The plot involves five young people on vacation: Ash (Bruce Campbell), his girlfriend Linda (Betsy Barker), their colleagues Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss), Scott (Hal Delrich) and Shelly (Sarah York). Unplanned, they stop by an abandoned mountain hut surrounded by an impassable forest. Before settling in for the night, they discover a book similar to the ancient ones, full of obscure hieroglyphs and ghostly illustrations, as well as a dagger made of human bones and an audio recording.
In the video, the professor of archeology describes the content of the Sumerian “Book of the Dead” full of spells with which otherworldly demons came to life and which then haunted the living. It goes on to state that possessed persons can only be stopped by dismembering them completely. When they play the tape later, the recorded translation of the ritual spells terrifies the clairvoyant Shelly and simultaneously unleashes evil from the forest. Wrong Turn (2003)
Traveling by car to an important meeting about his future job, young doctor Chris Flynn (D. Harrington) unexpectedly encounters a mile-long traffic jam caused by a serious traffic accident on the highway through West Virginia. While listening to the news on the radio about the recent disappearance of two college students who were hiking in the area, Desmond decides to take a side road that leads through an uninhabited forest area.
Driving casually and enjoying the beautiful nature, he suddenly ran into the vehicle and bicycle of five students who, like him, took a shortcut. Slowly recovering from a violent crash, apparently caused by sharp spikes deliberately left on the ground, Desmond meets the attractive Jessie Burlingame (E. Dushka) and her friends, the cute Curly (E. Chriqui) and her fiancé Scott (J. Sisto), and the frivolous Evan (K. Zegers) and his girlfriend Francine (L. Booth).
Deciding to continue the journey on foot with them, Desmond soon found out that Jessie had recently been dumped by her boyfriend, after which she and her four best friends set out on the journey to his place. While Desmond, Jessie, Curly and Scott slowly make their way through the forest, Evan and Francine decide to stay for a while and enjoy the moments together and the peace of idyllic nature…

The Ruins (2008)

Bloody Bloody Bible Camp (2012)
In 1977, a group of young people are massacred at the hands of Sister Mary Chopper at the Happy Day Bible Camp. Only two people survive the slaughter, Millie and Dwayne, the latter of whom was left with brain damage. Seven years later, Father Richard Cummings leads a group of teenagers to the camp, despite warnings from a concerned local about the camp, now dubbed ‘Bloody Bloody Bible Camp’.
Accompanying Father Cummings is Millie, who is keeping her past history with the camp a secret despite her ongoing trauma over the event. Eventually, Sister Mary Chopper resumes her slaughter, eventually leaving only Father Cummings and goth camper Jennifer alive. Father Cummings has a near-death experience where he meets Jesus, who tells him that while it’s OK to be homosexual, it isn’t OK that he brought the teenagers here and that he must save the camp.
It’s revealed that the killer is actually Eugene, a goth local who had been at a convenience store that the campers had stopped at earlier in the film. Tormented by an abusive nun who raised him as a girl and led him to believe that sin must be physically punished with death, Father Cummings manages to defeat Sister Mary Chopper and bring an end to the chaos.
Cannibal Holocaust (1980)

Lake Placid (1999)

Setting up camp by the lake, Kelly and the others set out to investigate the tracks and gather evidence about the beast, and soon meet Delores Bickerman (B. White), a slightly demented old woman who lives on memories of the past, in a house on the shore.
When the beast attacks again and kills Burke, Wells and Cyr conclude that it is a giant Asian-Pacific crocodile with unusually large jaws. Although the existence of this type of crocodile has never been recorded in America, it seems that someone has been feeding me for years…

The Burning (1981)
