Although in the genre to which the film belongs, it is logical to expect some holes in the construction, here they are completely avoided by loosely connecting various plots into a convincing and only slightly romanticized picture of high school life. The girls who played little rich girls later went on to great careers, and one of them, Brittany Murphy, is unfortunately no longer with us.
